.303 Savage with 26 inch barrel. This is a Savage built rifle not Marlin . Has the rounds remaining indicator the later oblong cocking indicator which were carried over to the Model 99.  Note square shape of rear of bolt typical of '95s. Bluing on receiver is thin and has scratches on left side of reciever. Stock show wear from use but not abused. Barrel bluing is deep and excellant bore. Overall solid 85-90%.  Serial number gives this an 1895 manufacture date. Marble rear tang peep sight.
